In this day in age, it seems that everyone has at least once piece of electronic equipment with them every waking hour. Maybe an MP3 player, mobile phone, blackberry, laptop or camera. If you are one of the individuals that regularly travel around with one or more of these electronic items, there is a good chance that you will be taking them with you when you catch a flight. If so, there is a chance that you may have questions as to with whether or not they are a violation of air travel rules.

In face, the majority of electrical equipment is allowed on national and international flights. However, it is always a good idea that you check with your airline or airport, in advance. Since most electronic items are expensive, you not want to get to the airport only to learn that you are prohibited from bringing all of your belongings with you, especially something as expensive as most electronic equipment.

As discussed earlier, many travelers have a mobile or pager with them at all times. All mobile phones and pagers are permitted aboard airplanes. In addition to being permitted onboard, they are allowed to be stored in your carryon baggage. Your mobile phone or pager, like most other electrical equipment, will be suspect to inspection if required by security staff.

Laptops and personal data assistants, commonly known as PDAs, are also allowed aboard the plane. You are also allowed to store them in your carryon baggage if you choose to. If stored in your carryon luggage, your laptop or personal data assistant machine will need to be checked by customs along with the rest of your carryon luggage. This screening process is safe and should not hurt your equipment.

As previously mentioned, many of the above mentioned electronics can either be stored in your carryon luggage or your checked baggage. If you are able to store the items in your carryon luggage, you are advised to do so. It is no secret that checked baggage gets tossed around in a number of various fashions. With expensive electronic equipment, your equipment is unlikely to endure damage if you are the one in charge of caring for it. In addition to avoiding damage, most airlines are restricting the use of baggage locks. This means that it may be unwise for you to store expensive equipment in your checked baggage, especially if you cannot lock it. Honestly, you never know who may have access to it.

While the screening process is safe for most electronic equipment, it isnt for all. There is a chance that your film, especially film that hasn't been developed, could be damaged by the x-ray machinery. In the event that you have a digital or film camera in your carryon baggage, you will need to let airport security staff know. They have alternative ways of checking your camera or film equipment. Other recording devices, such as digital cameras or camcorders, are also permitted aboard an airplane, even in your carryon luggage.

By keeping the above mentioned information in mind, you should be able to pack correctly for your next trip, whether or not that trip is a business trip. Although most airlines do not have restrictions on the electronic equipment that you bring onboard, you will find that the use of these items is often restricted. A large number of airlines will only let you power up your camcorder, cell phone, pager, PDA, or laptop during specified times.

Most importantly, remember to obey the captains directions in regards to electrical equipment while taking off - so you're not the one responsible for flight interruptions and delaying takeoff.

There are many factors to consider when looking for outboard motors. Ideally, we want to find the best choice, and get the best deal for our money. In the final analysis our vacation will be toned down, using slower speeds in our boat to reach the best fishing spots. We may end up catching a few bass, but spending more time with our children in the lazy days of summer. Yet, there's also a part of us that wants the fastest, most senselessly powerful, accurate custom rig with all the rod storage, fish finders, casting decks, pedestal seats and bait wells we can muster. To make it easier to deal with your purchase, prioritize the most important things, and try and make sacrifices.
There are tons of affordable outboard boat motors on the market.

Not only does Honda make great automobiles but they are also top sellers in boat motors. Honda boat moters and Accord sedans are both worthy of their good reputations. If your boat has a lighter, shorter hull, you may want to consider a lighter alternative to the 2.3-liter four-cylinder Accord, which weighs 496 pounds. When you compare the Honda motor boat to its main competitors (Evinrude, Yamaha, Mercury, and Suzuki), you will discover the greatest perk is their quiet running and economical fuel consumption. The best motors sit in neutral at 76 decibels, but crank up to 104 at normal speeds and 106 full throttle. The motors in second place are comparable at 81 in neutral, 106 at normal, and 121 full. Fuel consumption is 0.2 gallons per hour at 625rpm, 4.1 at 3500rpm and 9.0 at 5600rpm, while the other outboards perform at 0.3 - 16.0!

The Yamaha F115 has a lot in common with the Honda outboard motors, although it's 89 pounds lighter and more compact. While achieving the same energy rating, it accelerates slightly slower and produces a little more noise. Dual overhead camshafts, four cylinder valves, computerized multiport fuel injection system, and intake runners with separate throttle valves are all advanced features of the four-stroke engine. Yamaha outboard motors cost 70 less than comparable Honda outboard motors, which makes them the best choice and best deal.

Suzuki outboards are small and do the job well for a reasonable cost. Against Evinrude and Mercury, two other outboards with two-stroke design, these 1.77-liter models matched in performance and noise. This outboard motor's weight lies between the Evinrude, at the low end, and the Mercury, at the heavy end. After reviewing features of outboard motors, we have found that Suzuki outboards have a user friendly, 6-quart oil tank that is well concealed beneath the engine cowling, thus preventing spills better than it's Mercury counterpart. An additional bonus is that you can choose a stainless steel prop to come with your base package, which sells for around 34, which is a good ,000 - 00 below the competition. The only disadvantage is that Suzuki burns twice as much fuel as the Evinrude.

Those who consider themselves avid boaters are usually interested in protecting the environment. They want to keep the lakes clean and the fish able to reproduce healthily for their grandchildren. The popular trend is for people to align with companies who are on the leading edge of energy efficient practices and creating new ideas. One such example is Yamaha, a company which has teamed up with ABB Robotic Technology to utilize improved painting quality to yield energy savings. Yamaha has implemented a method of painting its outboard motors that is 30% more energy-efficient than the competition, lowering the time it takes to dry the paint by 40%, increasing efficiency with robots, reducing dust pollution, recirculating air and wasting no paint in the process.

The Humminbird Fishin' Buddy 140C Fish Finder is a portable, color fish finder with Downlooking and SideFinder Sonar capabilities. The Downlooking sonar sends sound waves from the bottom of the transducer into the water that is directly below the transducer. The SideFinder sonar projects sound waves from the flat side of the transducer housing at the bottom of the transducer shaft. The SideFinder sonar is able to see fish to the site of your boat and allows you to scan for fish where you cast. A regular depth finder would not allow you to see these fish.

The Downlooking sonar function uses a 200 kHz beam which provides a 34 degree cone angle. The Sidelooking function has a 455 kHz beam which provides a 10 degree cone angle. The bottom surface is best seen when the downlooking functionality is engaged solely, but some bottom definition is obtainable when the sidelooking beam is engaged.

When the 140C Fishin Buddy is in use it is best to travel at slow, trolling speeds. The Fishin Buddy can be damaged at high speeds and also if it is knocked against the bottom or submerged objects. The owner should use lower boat speeds while operating the fish finder. While the boat is moving the 140C Fishin Buddy will show variations in bottom composition, submerged objects, fish, bait fish and thermoclines so that you are able to see where to cast.

Getting Started with the Fishin Buddy 140C

Getting started with your new fishin buddy fish finder is easy. There are 6 simple steps that are outlined in detail in the owner's manual. The steps will be touched on briefly in this article. For complete directions please see the owner's manual.

The 6 Steps

Attaching the Directional Handle

Installing the Batteries

Attaching the Control Head to the Fishin Buddy

Connecting the Cables to the Control Head

Assembling and Attaching the Fishin Buddy Bracket to the Boat

Mounting the Fishin Buddy

Step 1

Attaching the Directional Handle is simple. Merely screw the directional handle into the socket provided. That's it!

Step 2

The Fishin Buddy requires 6 AA batteries (not included). It is simple to place them into the battery pack and the manual describes this step in detail.

Step 3

The next step is to install the control head onto the Fishin Buddy. The owner's manual includes detailed steps and diagrams to accomplish this task quickly and simply.

Step 4

Next attach the cables to the control head using the keyed connectors on the back of the control head. The owner's manual includes a diagram of this step.

Step 5

The next step is to attach the mounting bracket to the boat. In this step you have two options. You may either use the C Clamp to mount the bracket temporarily thereby allowing you to use the Fishin Buddy on multiple boats or you can use the permanent mounting slots to bolt the bracket to the boat. The choice is yours to make.

Step 6

The last step is to mount the Fishin Buddy on the bracket. To mount the unit, slide the Fishin Buddy shaft into the mounting bracket support arm. Then adjust the fish finder as needed. You can adjust the shaft to make it the length needed anywhere from 24 inches to 40 inches. Now all you have to do is go fishing and catch some fish.

The 140C Fishin Buddy is a great fish finder. It is affordable and easy to use. The controls are simple and its features will definitely help any fisherman to find more fish. This model is especially good in shallow water and is a great way for more novice fishermen to get their feet wet with a simple to use fish finder. Once you become more experienced then you can upgrade.

Have fun catching fish!

Anyone who has fished for Walleye, knows it can be a real challenge. There are days when no matter what you do, you just can not seem to find the fish! On days like that, it seems it is best to get back to basics and try the really simple things that have been time tested for effectiveness. When you couple simple, proven technique with a good understanding of how walleye tick, you can achieve good results even on the most quiet bodies of water.

If you do your homework and get to know this fussy fish, you will be armed with the knowledge to locate your target no matter what time of year it is. If you understand the behaviors and habits of walleye, the hard part is over, and the fun part may begin. Even when they are first born, walleye eat live bait. Beginning with planktons, they move up to insects, and graduate to smaller fish.
Minnows usually make up the bulk of an adult walleye's diet. For this reason, minnows are always a good choice, and live bait is pretty much a foregone conclusion if you want to catch walleye.

Early each year, when the water temperature gets into the mid to high forties, walleye move upstream into the shallows of lake tributaries to spawn. If you are looking for spawning walleye, the temperature should be your best indication that it is time to go fishing! After they spawn, the begin to move back to the deeper waters. These waters tend to be very clear, and obviously, the fish can see you better. For this reason, fishing in low light times such a predawn, dusk, or overcast days seems to produce good catches. Remember, especially during the light of the day, that fishing deeper can produce good catches, even in bright sunlight. Just target shadowy areas with structure.

Later in the fall, as the temperature begins to drop, and daylight hours shorten, walleye often begin to move back to more shallow areas looking for food. Look in the mouths of rivers, bays, reefs, bars, submerged islands and points. Check near inlets and outlets, and pay attention to areas with structure such as rocks, drop offs, rock walls, and weed beds. Choose areas where the surface is solid rather than softer, muddy bottom areas. Walleye also like to hang out down current or down wind on windy days and lie in wait for these forces of nature to carry their dinner to them!

Often the best choice for lake fishing for walleye is a simple crank bait on eight to twelve pound line. If you are fishing shallow water for easily spooked walleye, choose a side planer board. This will carry your plug away from the sound and shadow of the boat to an area where the walleye will be less skittish.

Downriggers are also a good choice, particularly when your walleye are lying suspended in the water. A downrigger will allow you to control the depth of the line and keep it at the particular depth at which the fish are hanging. A depth finder is particularly useful for this.
Whats the best fish finder for deep sea fishing and lagoon fishing also..

 ANSWER:
Most fish finders are not going to be good for both deep sea and lagoon fishing. I am assuming that the lagoons you are referring too are much more shallow than your deep sea fishing. For deep sea fishing you will probably want a little more expensive fish finder such as a 500 or 700 series Humminbird or a Lowrance. The units with higher power (better for deeper water) are usually more expensive.

Assuming that the lagoon you are fishing in is not too deep (a few hundred feet) and that the water is of reasonable clarity a 300 series Humminbird or an Eagle fish finder will probably be cheaper and do the trick.

The Symitar Episys system is by far the most popular and widely used electronic transactions processing systems used by credit unions around the world today. To date, over 500 credit unions have utilized the benefits of the Episys system and the number of clients is still growing. As Episys continues to gain momentum in the credit union industry, it has become increasingly important for credit union staff to be trained on how to use this system.

The success of the teller line depends upon knowledgeable tellers who are able to quickly and accurately process transactions. Therefore, credit unions using Episys must ensure that both new and existing tellers are adequately trained on how to use the system so that they can concentrate on providing great service to their members. In order to accomplish this, credit unions must implement interactive training programs that both simulate the Episys system and accommodate the individual learning needs of their tellers. The key to ensuring that each credit union employee is adequately trained on Episys is through the implementation of an eLearning training program.

What Is Episys?
Episys, a core processing software application, is classified as a fully integrated and intuitive system platform that can be used by a credit union to manage its member base and process transactions. The system features access to industry business intelligence information and profitability, retail delivery, electronic funds transfers, Internet banking, risk management and security, and item and document imaging solutions. Episys is Internet-integrated, deploying browser-based technology, drag and drop transaction functionality, user-friendly toolbars and wizard-based assistance to its users.

Recent studies show that Episys is automating more credit unions with assets exceeding million, making it one of the largest credit union systems providers. In order for tellers to become knowledgeable experts in the Symitar Episys system, they must participate in comprehensive training programs. Due to the important role that tellers play in credit unions, this training should be considered the main priority for credit unions that are currently using, or are thinking about implementing the Episys system.

Streamlining Productivity with eLearning Training
With proper training, Episys is extremely easy for credit union tellers to navigate and use to accomplish their daily job responsibilities, ultimately streamlining productivity at the credit union. The most effective method of Episys training is through a simulations-based eLearning training program. ELearning provides students with an efficient format that is not only easy to understand, but easy to access, as it can be delivered anytime, anywhere and on almost any computer. Employees can participate in training at the institution, on their work computers, or at home on a personal computer. ELearning training is also portable, meaning the student can begin their Episys training at work and then finish it at home, if needed. Additionally, students have the option of beginning a program in the morning and coming back to it in the afternoon or even the next day.

ELearning Promotes Knowledge Retention
When training for Episys, an effective eLearning program should introduce the systems information to tellers in a methodical and efficient manner by using a process which aids in knowledge retention. The Observe, Practice, Demonstrate Model, for example, provides three separate learning stages to instruct and then test understanding of the procedures and system:

Observe. Observing the information through overviews of the system will help familiarize tellers with the screens, fields, buttons and other information that they will need to complete a transaction at the credit union.
Practice. Giving tellers a chance to practice the transactions they have just observed is a great way to reinforce key learning points. This stage of the learning process is helpful when guiding tellers through all steps of a transaction.
Demonstrate. Tellers should then be presented with a scenario of a typical customer transaction. This opportunity will give tellers a chance to demonstrate what they have learned, by attempting to complete the transaction on their own.

When skills and concepts are practiced and reviewed, they become an integrated part of the learners developing skill set and increase the comfort level and confidence in using tools, processes and knowledge in the workplace. Tellers that are trained according to this model will build a sense of familiarity with the programs they will be using daily, and will be able to assist members quickly and process their transactions accurately. The end result is more knowledgeable tellers and more satisfied credit union members.

Benefits of Using Symitar Episys eLearning Training
Through training, credit union tellers will learn the Symitar Episys system and familiarize themselves with the common transactions they will encounter each day on the job. Credit unions that provide eLearning training for their tellers will experience the following benefits:

Standardization. One of the greatest benefits of offering compliance training in an eLearning format is the standardization and control that it provides. With eLearning, the financial institution can ensure that the content covered in the training is the same each time the student takes the program. Most eLearning programs offer a tangible element that learners can use as a reference guide, or learners can use the program itself as a resource after they complete the training.
Customization. The specific material contained in custom compliance training includes information about the institution, as well as the compliance knowledge that is required by each individual employees role. For example, eLearning training can be customized to include logos and colors to reflect the branding of the credit union, as well as their nomenclature, policies and procedures.
Auditability. ELearning training is often accompanied by a Learning Management System (LMS). LMSs are designed for the administration, distribution, documentation, tracking and reporting of educational programs. While the LMS carries out various functions, the most important is its ability to audit the training on an individual and organization-wide basis.
Low cost. The Return on Investment (ROI) associated with eLearning is much higher than classroom training. When employees receive appropriate and adequate training they will increase their productivity and in turn, increase overall profit for the institution. Time and money spent on providing a customized and engaging eLearning Episys training program is money well-spent, and will result in a higher rate of return for the institution in the long-term.

Final Word
Symitar Episys is quickly becoming the standard in credit union transaction processing software. In order for both new and existing tellers to be prepared for Episys use and conversion, proper training programs must be implemented. It is vital for credit unions to understand that effective Episys training programs begin with eLearning training. By taking advantage of such technological innovations to continually improve productivity and operating efficiencies, credit unions will remain leaders in the financial industry and satisfy customers. Symitar Episys is a dependable technology, and through training, will ultimately boost teller productivity and streamline production.

Fall is pretty much here and that means back to some really good fishing. When the water temp begins to cool, bass in deep water return to the shallows and with all the prey that Bass had to eat through out summer depleted or reduced, you can find bass wondering the shallows looking for an easy meal. The weather conditions are as they were in the spring, the sun is low in the sky, the temperatures are down, it is much like pre-spawn conditions. Many anglers quit fishing when fall hits, but I think they are missing out on one of best times of the year to fish for bass, just like the feeding frenzy during pre-spawn, there is a fall frenzy as well.

Of course as fall goes on the surface temperatures begin to drop and soon will be the same temp as deeper water. This is called fall turnover and means that the water temperatures throughout the lake are the same. When this occurs Bass can be any where in the lake and are very hard to locate. This is when you have to focus on structure, try to find any transition from one feature to the next, rocks to weeds for example.

Eventually as the weather turns colder, shallow water temps will be colder then deep water. At this time of the season Bass will head for the deeper warmer
water and stay there through winter.

Where to fish for Bass in the Fall

Basswill come shallow on those unusually warm days in the fall to feed, this is when you need to be on the lake and hunting for Bass. You should be looking for any left over green weeds from summer, if you find any, fish that area thoroughly. Also, fish shallow flats that are protected by wind, they tend to warm up faster. Another good area to fish is a shoreline on the north side of the lake that has rocks, boulders or rip rap. The sun hits the rock warming
them up quickly in turn will warm the water.

Choosing a Lake

When it comes to choosing a lake in early fall, look for one that is smaller and more shallow. These shallow lakes tend to cool faster then deep lakes but keep in mind that they will also go through fall turn over earlier as well. So in late fall the deeper lakes with warmer deep water is a better choice.

As a Bass Fishing Beginner, I almost gave up on the sport of Bass Fishing due my lack of knowledge and frustration. Now I enjoy sharing my experiences with those who love to bass fish.
